Die Trotzwinkel is a series of masks with imagery derived from the American soft-cover illustrations of collected short stories by H.P. Lovecraft by the illustrator [XXX]. Printed on plastic sheets and then vacuum-formed to take on the style of Japanese Noh theatre masks, the resulting distortions are a means of presenting our internal struggles on the outside.
